In Volume 2 of the Journal of Animal Law, I have published a book review of Speciesism, which is also available on a website that you can search for using "Speciesism review."
On page 96 of Speciesism, it says that another book by a different author (entitled Introduction to Animal Rights) expresses the view that when the property status of animals is abolished, one will still be required to save the life of a human instead of a non-human animal in genuine emergency situations. After this description of Introduction to Animal Rights, page 96 of Speciesism goes on to say that a requirement to save the human is speciesist and incompatible with animal equality.
