Their language is horrible; they use as many swear words as possible for shock value. Their grammar is terrible. Did anyone edit this thing? I was incredibly turned off by the writing style and tone of the book.
If you can get past the language, most of the information presented is off mark or just plain wrong. The majority of the "scientific" information is not backed up by citations or references.
It's presented as a healthy diet book but the real motive is to convince you to become a vegan. It's a very unpalatable piece of propaganda.

I was disappointed in this book because of the language. I expected some, but it is over the top and unnecessary. I bought it for my daughter and she feels the same. A lot of the recipes are not practical for our families.

This book was an eye opener for me. I started to look at the ingredient listings on what I thought was healthy food in my house and was shocked and horrified over what I saw. This book helps you determine what additives are safe and which ones are not. A quick read. Simple and clear cut on what is good and what is bad for you. This book has changed the way I eat,the way I shop and what I feed my family. The cook book is great. I am so glad I got the box set and not just the one book. The recipes are a great start on how to prepare good meals for your family. I like the tough love type of concept behind the book.

This book is not what it purports to be. They even tell you in the book the whole title and gimmick is a marketing ploy to get you to buy the book. I was looking for a smart guide to eating better in my second pregnancy. Instead this book is about why you should be a vegan, whether you are pregnant or not. I will say some of the info was useful (like how simple carbs are bad) but I don't buy that simply because I am not a vegan I am eating bad for me and my baby and my baby will be deformed and have all kinds of problems. I really do feel resentful that I bought this thinking I would get dieting tips (for the average mom)and exercise tips for pregnant women. If you are not interested in being a vegan, don't buy it, there are better books out there.

Filled with sarcasm and bad science, this book is a vegetarian cookbook in disguise. It states the old fiction of meat rotting in your stomach and while stating that sugar is the enemy, uses ketchup (which requires a load of sugar in the ingrediants before it can be labelled as such) in several recipes.
If it's vegetarian cooking you want, you can do better.

Outstanding You: Discover, Design and Achieve Ultimate FitnessThis book is perhaps one of the best fitness books I've seen. As an author, I read constantly, and this book is a must-read for anyone seeking weight loss - the right way. This book is about being healthy - not just skinny. As a Personal Trainer, I've trained many women and not many books make it as easy and to the point as this one does. I use many of the examples provided in this book for my clients.Outstanding You: Discover, Design and Achieve Ultimate Fitness
