Excellent idea, have used to give ideas to stunted cooks. Like that they are in volume. Some recipes seem pretty obvious, but perhaps some people really do not know how to cook. Good tips and information also. Most recipes the 25 serving range. How about a Vegan for Fifty book?

While it isn't difficult for vegans to modify most vegetarian recipes, it is nice not to have to. A quality vegan recipe book is important for those of us who don't use products from animals and who want diversity in our meals. Rose Elliot dispels many of the myths commonly associated with vegetarian and vegan diets. At the beginning of her book, Elliot deals with misconceptions that much of society has concerning protein, iron, calcium and vitamin B12. After putting the reader's mind to rest concerning these items, Elliot briefly states some of the benefits of vegetarian and vegan diets. The book has a variety of nutritious recipes in the following sections: Soups; Dips; Sandwiches and Bread-based Snacks; Salads, Dressings and Appetizers; Sauces; ... Read More:

A very good vegan cookbook. It even includes a cooking demonstration section with pictures. Lots of color images thoughout.
It loses one star for being a non-standard size - it's taller and wider than average cookbooks, and because not all of the recipes appear equally appetizing. Some are 5 star, others are 3 star.
Try the vegan cookbook "reFresh: Contemporary Vegan Recipes From the Award Winning Fresh Restaurants". It's 5-star wonderful!

I liked the book for what it offered. I bought it because I am going to Ireland this summer. After getting it I discovered that the 'Southern Ireland' part of the book only consists of 12 pages out of 255! Not a lot but what is in those 12 pages is very useful. The book has information that I could't find in a regular travel book-I know I bought Let's Go Ireland. Realizing that Ireland apparently does not have a very large vegetarian/vegan population (from the book) I am glad to know that when I do get there I will at least know where I can eat and stay.

A great short introduction to veganism though i would suggest that you consult other books if you were wanting indepth information on any subject relating to veganism. The nutrition section needs some work, especially relating to certain nutrients but otherwise i think this is great as it covers the main reasons people decide not to support the animal industries and it is factually based.
