Definitely a great find! The book promotes wholesome, healthy cooking, with more recipes than most larger cookbooks. Parents of young vegetarians should read it to learn about their child's dietary choice. It proves vegetarians eat more than tofu and salad, and makes good cooking easy enough for a teenager or bachelor. The chapters on holidays and soups are the best. It's a wonderful gift for vegetarians or cookbook collectors.

The book calls for several ingredients that require people not living in cities or in touch with their local asian market to venture into unknown territories, but with the expansion of vegetarian friendly corporations like Whole Foods, it's getting easier. Even so, I can't give this book 5 ... Read More:

Joanne Saltzman (author of "Amazing Grains" and "Romancing the Bean") is the founder of the School of Natural Cookery in Boulder, Colorado. If you are not lucky enough to be able to attend the school, her new book "Intuitive Cooking" is the next best thing. This is not an easy read. There are no pictures. This book is really like taking a cooking course and requires attention and study. As Saltzman says in the introduction, "This book is designed for those who want to study cooking more deeply than what is typically offered in culinary cookbooks."
I have studied natural foods cooking and I found this book an excellent ... Read More:
