I have read this book 4 times and I now have it on an audio book as well to listen to the wealth of information. I am so excited about it that I am telling everyone that I know about the book and I have been giving them away as life changing gifts. I didn't by the book to "get skinny" I bought this book because it was floating around out office and I thought that the title was catchy. Low and behold bam I am not the same. No book that I have ever read has had this kind of impact on me!

I have made a recent change to living meatless and this book is an amazing companion on the journey! Every recipe I have tried is easy to follow, simple ingredients, and tastes excellent.
For anyone who says you can't have a hearty, "comfort food" meal without meat... this book will prove them wrong!

This book is too "radically vegan" for my taste. And speaking of "taste", nothing in this book has any. What the heck is "vegan bacon", anyway? Why bother? I guess it's easy to be a skinny bitch if you never eat anything that tastes good. It would explain the "skinny" and also the "bitch"...
Now I understand. Thanks, but I'd rather not be either.

This was a great read for anyone interested in what makes powerful pictures. This is an organized discussion on the elements that make people take interest in a photo.
There is very little discussion of the technical aspects of photography and no discussion of megapixels or anything like that.

I bought How to Cook Everything Vegetarian earlier this summer after joinign a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) share in a local farm and being inundated with vegetables, some of which I'd never eaten. I mean, fennel? What does one do with that? Well, Bittman to the rescue. Now I know what it is, how to prepare it for cooking and eating, and have recipes to use it in.

This books contains all the information you need to implement healthy changes in your life. No one could adopt these dietary changes without seeing improvement, or complete resolution, of their chronic health conditions.
I am a practicing anesthesiologist, and as a physician I admit to some bias. I segregate books on health-related topics into two categories: those written by qualified professionals (M.D.'s & PhD's), and those that were not (which I fondly refer to as "groovy books"). I admit to reading the groovy ones, too, but I take their claims with a grain of salt. This book, so obviously based on the latest research as well as Dr Furhman's clinical experience, abundantly referenced, is a wake-up call. I fail to see how any intelligent reader ... Read More:

I have to say that the reviewers comments below is not one that is Accurate or Fair. This book is in no way selling or recommending any product(s)!
I've read this book and given copies to friends and family. The book is filled with facts about green smoothies that is absolutely incredible.
Victoria has poured lots of research into presenting a great testament to the benefits of green smoothies.
While most of these smoothies are made from kale, spinach, dandelion, or chard, they are incredibly delicious. The results of drinking these smoothies, can be seen and felt. Victoria clearly does not claim to be anything other than a researcher. But to her credit she has taken her family to new health heights and offers readers the same opportunity. ... Read More:

I purchased the "...Idiot's Guide to Eating Raw". While the publication is very informative and yes it does provide a transitioning guide, much of the food for transitioning requires dehydration. This publication keeps you from starving during the hours or days of dehydrating other foods. The meals in it are quick and delicious. The breakfast section was a huge success at my house. Please give the Muesli a try--Yummo!! (Rachel Ray side of me). If you're new to eating raw, I suggest you purchase this publication.
