This wine opener is extremely easy to use. It looks ok to set out on the counter all the time, so it's convenient and much harder to lose than regular wine openers! Sometimes doesn't work on plastic corks, but that doesn't detract from the usefulness. I highly recommend it!

This thermometer reads fast and is accurate. I wish that I had bought it sooner because it takes the guesswork out of meat cooking.

Does a nice job of slicing, peeling and coring apples that are fairly evenly shaped all the way around. Not so good at all three operations when the apple is not evenly shaped. Had to remove them from the peeler and do them by hand....which were quite a few. Also need to continually check the alignment of the slicer/corer to make sure they were in line with the feed arm otherwise it can be easily bent out of shape. Haven't tried it yet with potatoes.

I have just ordered my 4th Brew'n go! My 1st is probably 5 years old and going strong. I have one for home, one for my mountain cabin, one for my daughter and just ordered a back-up in case my 1st one crokes! I use #2 paper filters just because it keeps me from having to rinse out grounds. Makes a great mug of coffee to grab and run out the door with every morning and it is perfect for a one person household. I even use it often with guest because it brews so fast I can make 2 regular cups of coffee and then reload for a second round. Love it!

I purchased a black scale:
Escali Primo Digital scale, 11Lb 5 Kg, 1 ea but any color would be a great choice if you need a super easy, fast reading scale for home use. It has a tare function (to subtract off the weight of a dish or container for example) so you can rapidly weigh what you need. Although likely used by most folks for food or postage, I needed this to weigh my pet birds! I just put a food dish with treats on the scale, tare it, and the little bird will sit there for the 2 seconds it takes to get their weight measured (grams or ounces). >>More Details |

Item worked great until I used it in my Weber grill.
With the lid closed it fried the braided metal wire that went from the probe to the unit with the temperature readout. Maybe it was my fault, but you would think that something that is designed to work with an oven would be able to withstand high temperatures. >>More Details |

OK, it's official... I'm a cooking gadget addict, and these pasta rollers are the perfect fix! It's so much fun to roll out your own fresh and tasty pasta. I found the set to be sturdy, good quality, and extremely easy to use. They are a bit pricey but if you love to cook from scratch and appreciate a good gadget you'll probably find these worth the cost.

The ergonomics are great. It's rigid, but has a slightly rubberized, uniform grip.
I do feel that the bristles are a bit soft, but that's ok. I use this a lot for mushrooms and tomatoes, which are fairly soft to begin with. In most cases, I peel or remove the skin from tubers. However, I like to cook my potatoes with the skin on. This brush doesn't do the best job on hard, low-starch, waxy potatoes (small red potato, white fingerling) that you'd use for potato salads, for example. It's very easy to clean and survives the dishwasher (for 2 months so far at least). >>More Details |
