The Forschner knife is the sharpest knife I have ever used. I have a Chicago Cutlery set that I have kept sharp and used for years and swore they were the best. The Forschner was recommended to me by the CountryCook magazine as being relatively inexpensive and better than the Chicago so I ordered it. CountryCook is right: It is better.

I bought the Presto Pro Eversharp Electric Knift sharpener 2 weeks ago and has been using it to sharpen all my kitchen knives and it works like wonder! I should have bought this long time ago - highly recommended!

I absolutely LOVE this knife. I now use chopping therapy as a daily calming activity. I realize that sounds a little crazy, but I'm serious that cutting/chopping is now so easy it's not a chore. It's just the right length and just heavy enough to get the job done, but doesn't fatigue your hand/arm.
Well worth the money @ this knife! You won't be sorry with this purchase.

I am so happy with these knives. They are strong sharp and heavy. They cut so well and are so nice looking sitting on my counter. I have had people go right to them and comment. I love to cook and most of what I cook is from scratch. SO I have people over often and these are exactly what I needed to add to my work space. The one thing I always do with knives and will always do is right after use I wash and dry them and repalce them back into there slot. If you ever notice on the cooking shows the chefs always wipe there knives off straight away after use on there apron. I would hate to have mine rust becasue I did not take care of them right. I mean you can always clean them with bar tender cleaner once in a while. Or if rust appears for sure. ... Read More:

This knife is very sharp and comfortable to use. The handle doesn't seem to be the fibrox like the 8" chef's knife, it has a little less "grip" to it, but it shouldn't be a problem even if your hands are a little wet. For $5, I'd definitely recommend this knife. As someone who enjoys cooking, but doesn't want to spend a fortune on her hobby, this line of knives is perfect. They are so much sharper and thinner (but not flimsy) than others I have bought which makes kitchen tasks a breeze. It really makes me want to cook more when I have tools like this that work so well.

I bought this set as a Christmas present, but had to check it out before I wrapped it. I have a Henckels block and some Henckels knives as well, both the cheaper Chinese "International" and some more expensive German ones as well. The "International" Henckels knifes I have are wooden-handled, poorly balanced, flimsy and somewhat poorly made. I wanted to be sure that these knives didn't suffer from the same deficits before gifting.
I was quite pleased to see that this set of knives greatly exceeds the quality of the cheaper Henckels knives I own, and approach the quality of some of my most expensive knives. They are well balanced, sturdy, well-made and beautiful. The grip seems like it would be of no concern to me (some other reviewers ... Read More:

When our old knife sharpener didn't seem to be having much effect on our knives anymore, I ordered this sharpener based on the reviews here. What a great little sharpener! I can't believe how dull my knives had become over time with our old sharpener (amazing what you can gradually become used to). This sharpener makes slicing and chopping a breeze again. It's very easy to use and takes up little space in the kitchen. I thought I'd have to buy a big expensive sharpener or take my knives in to a professional to get sharp edges like this again. What a delightfully effective and economical surprise.

I purchased this knife set after owning a faberware set (which was ok) for years. This Ginsu set is "EXCELLENT" and "ATTRACTIVE LOOKING"! These knives are nice and sharp and works well for someone who's looking for a reasonably priced, good cutley set. I would definitely recommend it.

Bought this knife less than a year ago. Used it maybe 20 times. Now, barely cuts through tender meat. I don't recommend it. Probably better to get the Black & Decker for 1/2 the price and replace it, if needed.

My knives were getting so dull they were dangerous, so I knew I needed a sharpener. I wanted something quick and easy, that didn't take any skill, but just sharpened knives.
I know if I took the time to learn how to properly sharpen my knives, I'd get better results than I can with the Diamond Fingers, but not by much. The Diamond Fingers suit my needs perfectly. Plus it folds up and stores in a drawer easily.
