Does a nice job of slicing, peeling and coring apples that are fairly evenly shaped all the way around. Not so good at all three operations when the apple is not evenly shaped. Had to remove them from the peeler and do them by hand....which were quite a few. Also need to continually check the alignment of the slicer/corer to make sure they were in line with the feed arm otherwise it can be easily bent out of shape. Haven't tried it yet with potatoes.

It worked great for the first month I used it, about 4 days a week. Everything worked fine, with the exception of some water that would drip down the side.
Then after about a month the egg side stopped working, I kind of forgot about it and tried it again this morning and no matter what (unplugging, resetting etc) it would not work. Very disappointing. I'm going to try to get a replacement, or maybe a refund since it is so new. Just a note, I've had an egg steamer/poacher separate unit for about 2 years and make 7 hard boiled eggs a week with it and it works without fail, I just wanted to have this unit because of the "muffin shaped" egg for sandwiches. >>More Details |

This was a very good purchase. I used all the tools when canning and it made it much easier for me to can properly. I especially liked the magnet to assist with getting lids out of boiling water. That was very handy during the canning process.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to use, makes frothy, hot drinks. I have had no problems with it as other reviewers have stated. I use it every day. Beats paying high prices at the store for a cappuccino!

I researched a lot and settled on this popper because I wanted stainless steel. I havent had the lid problems others have described, though based on how its just a stamped piece of steel and roughly thrown together (its $[...] bucks) it does feel like maybe I could have got lucky and got a good one.
I wonder if a few heat cycles will make it start to stay open, its fairly thin and overall the fit of the lid and latching mechanism is pretty poor, but once again I didnt expect a micro engineered work of art for what this thing cost. Works great, heats up quick and so far has left exactly zero kernels un- popped. This little gadget allows you to magnetically pick up the lids from the hot simmering water for your canning jars. Saves burned finger tips, and proves much more sanitary than other methods. Had hoped for a bit more umph in the magnet, but I suppose then it would pick up two lids? I would highly recommend, and now wouldn't be without it!

At the time of this writing, this sells for $3.49 which I think is just the sweet spot. The cones are nice and does not drip . The multiple colored straws are similar to the one used on Slurpees with a flattened end to scoop ice. Cones are strong enough as long as you do not poke it hard with the straws.

We've had this product for approximately 1 month and as a family of four at least one of us is using this daily. We haven't noticed any bad smells coming from it.....just the wonderful, warm scent of a healthy, quick breakfast cooking. I'd like to order at least 2 more for gifts and the people I work with all want to chip in on one to use at the office....but they aren't available right now. My only complaint would be that they are too difficult to obtain in a timely manner.

At the time of this review four others had reviewed the popper favorably. After using the popper I read their reviews again and noticed some wording that seems consistent through them - hmm... In any event, my take is this popper will not pop even 1/4 a cup of new high quality popcorn. It takes two poppings of some 3-4 minutes each - LOTS of power. The Presto, which I gave up because of the need for paper cups, is way better than this popper. I returned the Back to Basics and ordered another brand that will hopefully work.
