I would highly recommend this set along with the other items Pyrex offers. My containers are used daily for bringing meals to work for the past 4 years and have basically performed flawlessly. They are used in variety of ways depending on what is being made. For example when making soups I tend to make large portions and then divide them into the 2 cup round bowls and freeze them using cling wrap as the cover. I believe that this addresses the issue with leaky lids that some people are reporting. Leaking lids are not an issue for me since my lid have only seen limited usage. Just make sure that you transfer your meal for the next day to the fridge the night before and the issue of leaks is now resolved since the meal will be partially frozen ... Read More:

I bought these because of all of the reports about plastics leaking into your food when you microwave plastic containers. Best purchase ever! The variety of sizes are perfect. The lids fit very tight, which is great when you're transporting soup as I often do in the winter. I use them almost daily!

Lids fit perfect after several washings in the dishwasher(top shelf). Great for microwave. Hot to Cold and Cold to Hot.

It doesn't get much better than this. The same measuring cup my mom and grandmother had (and my mom still uses), now slightly redesigned with an open handle, which is an improvement. Sturdy, easy to use and read, stands up to boiling and freezing, stores easily and, if this matters to you, made in the USA.

I bought this set to add to my freezer/fridge/microwave storage containers. I've gone from Tupperware with its warping lids to Pyrex sets and have never looked back. Sturdy non-warping lids. Even looks good on the table.

I broke my measuring cup like this recently, after it had served faithfully for 20 years--I know because we got it as a wedding gift! In just a couple of weeks of NOT having it, I have realized just how important it is in my kitchen! I reach for it all the time, for measuring, but also for mixing and melting (in the microwave). Gotta get another, right now!

Great sizes. The smaller ones are sort of big enough to store 4 butter sticks. I Haven't used the big one yet, but it is great when I make 4 meals of home-made pasta sauce to freeze.

I just love it ! Great quality and really big ! It is not very heavy so it's easy to move around and turn while you mix but it is also stable enough and does not move all over the counter. Great value too !

This is a much needed part of baking - finally, a huge measuring cup which also doubles as a mixing bowl. The Pyrex name is known for excellent cooking supplies. And the free shipping from Amazon is much appreciated, especially during these times of high fuel costs.
