It doesn't get much better than this. The same measuring cup my mom and grandmother had (and my mom still uses), now slightly redesigned with an open handle, which is an improvement. Sturdy, easy to use and read, stands up to boiling and freezing, stores easily and, if this matters to you, made in the USA.

One star isn't what I give the actual product, but rather the experience I had trying to get it from Amazon. The first arrived broken; they sent a second one; it arrived in even worse shape than the first. Other reviewers have complained about the same thing - obviously the shipping method being used isn't adequate. I ended up getting one elsewhere - all it took was a little bubble wrap and it arrived in perfect shape.

I love the fact that the container on the bottom hold all the gratings. It's a strong box grater too which I'm sure will be around for a very long time.

This is the 5th Vidalia Chop Wizard I have purchased. I use it in my small resturant. Nothing is better to make Pico de Gallo.
I use it for everything from dicing onions and tomatoes to ham for omlettes and salads. The only problem I have had is the clear plastic base cracks if top is not fitted on just right. After breaking 3, I am very careful. I also broke one when it was dropped. But I will always replace because it is such a great kitchen tool. This is my second digital food scale. I loved the first, a Salter 3007, but as another Amazon member warned me I would, I melted it on top of the toaster. It still worked fine, but after the battery need to be replaced, I decided to get a new scale.
Here's why I love the OXO Food Scale: 1. Easy to use. The buttons are simple; no instructions needed to figure stuff out; very intuitive design. 2. Very accurate. 3. Very precise. I started to make bread again in my bread maker. However it seems like I was not able to get an even slice for toasting. This slicer helps keep the knife evenly spaced for each slice. I had a little trouble keeping the sides together so the end plate would not fall out, but finally got the system going. Now I need to purchase a good sharp bread slicing knife to make my life perfect.

Bought it...loved it...2 months later the kettle leaked all over the counter...It's been more than 30 days since it shipped, so now I have to go through the hassle of trying to return to the manufacturer. No fun! I'm not keen to have another one as the quality is obviously lacking despite the hefty price tag.
