We had to take our cat Leila to a show for Reubenesque cats. The problem is that we needed some way to transport her. In the past, we've tried wheelbarrows at these shows, but we have found that it's difficult to navigate a traditional wheelbarrow on the show floor and dealers rooms where everyone else has their wheelbarrows and carts. Something we could drag behind us would be much better.
Our first attempt at using a "Radio Flyer" was brief and sad. About halfway through the first day, her weight caused the axel to grind down, and finally one of the wheels sheared off. She poured out of the wagon like a hefty bag full of hot applesauce. A few of the attendees were nice enough to help us get her into the car, and we just had to ... Read More:

This spinning compost mixer is made of very think and durable plastis. It spins when you put your foot on the side of one of the "steps" that encircle the center of the mixer. The steps are marded witht he days of the week to help you remember when it was last turned. The base is a separate part that is included but not really necessary because the barrel part will balance on its own when on its side. There is lots of room inside as it is designed for bulk compost mixing. One end has a big "X" that acts as a handle to unscrew and open to the inside. What is neat is that the barrel looking composter can be just that, a barrel. I put mine on a wheel dolly and roll it around the yard putting waste in it until it fills up. The only downside ... All of the plastic parts that hold the back axel and two wheels on were broken (I think there were four). It was snug in the Amazon box, but I think it must have been poor quality plastic in order to break just by placing it in the box. The broken plastic pieces were in the box. I really doubt that plastic could have withstood being used out in the garden with an adult scooting on it. I hate returning items but this was beyond use.

I am so pleased with my new Achla spinning composter. It was a fraction of the cost of the ComposTumbler that I was also considering. It was also quite simple to set up, and easy to turn, even completely full. I believe the black plastic exterior helps to heat the contents and facilitate the composting process. Although I filled it with pungent horse manure and kitchen scraps, there is little to no smell unless the lid is open. I will write back and let you know how my first batch of compost turns out.

This thermometer worked well for a while then got stuck at 80 deg. I think the shaft twisted slightly apart from the face part as I pulled it out of one of my compost piles.

I bought two of these to carry my trash barrels to the curb and I can fit 2 big barrels in each cart. They carry alot of weight, they travel nicely, and I have had them for a year and they still work like new. The only problems that I have is that I have to put the side bars nback on every few weeks if I overload them. The directions were a little confusing and you have to be careful because the metal edges are sharp and they cut deep if you not careful!

I purchased the Allsop Wheel Easy last year and find it just as helpful as it is frustrating. The idea of it is great, however, I don't think that the designers actually used the product before manufacturing it. It is good in theory, but because there is nothing supporting the bottom if you need to let go with one hand (to open a gate or fence) the cart flips over to the side and dumps anything that is in it, out onto the ground. The Allsop cart is nice if you are just carting a few leaves or weeds to the compost pile, but I would not recommend this product if you are doing any heavy labor, have to open any gates or fit through narrow passages.

In my area there are no stores that sell the replacement wheelbarrow tires alone, they always seem to come mounted on a wheel, which is not always necesary. I bought this because I didn't want to waste money as well as a good wheel by replacing both. I fixed up a broken down old Kelley contractor style wheelbarrow and one thing it needed was a new tire. This is just as good or better than the original tires that come with the wheelbarrows.

I had seen these utility carts used for years (over 20) at large marinas and thought they were so fabulous and handy! Well, I finally purchased one for camping as the sites I use are a distance from where you can park. Wow! I am very happy with my purchase! I had no problems assembling it and immediately put it to use. It is sturdy, strong and love the air tires! I had several people ask about it. The only question that arose was when we were stamping our name into the metal, oh yeah want to do that so your cart doesn't disappear, was a spring fell out on the floor. We couldn't figure out its purpose so we contacted the Tipke Manufacturing. They were great! The spring slides into the cart on the left side before you put in the handlebar, it allows ... Read More:
