I actually didn't buy this at Amazon but in a toy store. I was a little wary of buying it but my son picked it out. As I expected it does very little and everything comes apart and gets lost very easily. I dont know what Disney was thinking with this toy. Nothing interesting or educational about it. The only good thing is the hot dog song. It has a few cheesy buttons to push but nothing spectacular. Not worth your time.

I gave this product 3 stars because depending on the type it is a full 5 stars or only 1 star.
The herb kit grew quick. My cilantro seeds didn't grow but they do have a warranty for that. The herbs grew like crazy although keep the basil trimmed or it will smother everything else. The choice of herbs is a little odd but they all grow really well together. The cherry tomato kit was horrible. It's a lot of work to try and get them to grow right and I've only had 1 tomato ever grow. The stalks want to grow tall but without anything to support them they start toppling over. It's a good product, but it cook faster than the info tells you to and you do need a propane tank.

This is my second year using the Flowtron Ultimate mulcher and as many of the other reviews maintain, it is a great machine if you recognize its limitations. Keep in mind that this unit is a lot cheaper than other, better built units on the market!
The main problem I encountered is that the unit easily overheats. The spinner which holds the string "blades" melted on me TWICE in a year (from Spring & Fall usage) but the upside is that Flowtron mailed me replacement parts free of charge which were received about 4 days later. This machine has its flaws but the customer service is OUTSTANDING!! The second spinner I received was a harder plastic than the original but still melted after being "overworked". I received this as a gift in late 2007. This product is a great concept, as I've been able to use it in a variety of applications: grilling, baking/roasting, and an outdoor smoker.
Unfortunately, it stopped working after 4 uses. The temperature reading would be way off, like 178 degrees at room temperature, 59 degrees for an ice slurry (chipped ice/water; used to determine accuracy), etc. The Oregon Scientific website was difficult to navigate and find information about the product, but once I found information it recommended replacing the probe. At first I thought it might be defective. So I read the instructions :) My only beef is that the range of sensor seems considerably smaller than it's supposed to be. When I moved it about 50' from the base, the signal was unreliable.

I purchased my first AeroGarden 2 years ago and I just now needed to replace the lights. They lasted much longer than the company said they would. I recently purchased a second AeroGarden and am growing cherry tomatoes in one and romaine in the other! I truly have a black thumb, so I have been amazed at the success I've had with the AeroGarden!

This thing works exactly as advertised and deserves all the positive reviews it got. I don't know how I lived without this for so long. This starter is simply fantastic! I used this for the first time today to start a BBQ and was astounded by how easy and fast this thing is.
No more lighter fluid, fanning, piling coals into a pyramid, and other nonsense. Just stuff some paper in the bottom, light, and come back 5 mins later. Your coals will be glowing red. Very nice construction quality and durable build. And not a bad price too. Highly recommended. >>More Details |
