I bought the game, thinking the content would be very similar to what is already out there, just in a new area. I was a bit right, but there are a ton of interesting and fun quests. Bombing quests, quests where you become a bird, a robot, etc. It's not just "kill x amount of y" anymore, though that is sprinkled in there as well!
Having 2 starting areas is great. I went to one, it seemed very crowded, so I went to the other for a bit. Death knights? They are fun. They have a separate beginning area and quest line. Can you skip these quests? I guess so, but you actually earn your talent points via questing until you leave the area. I own an aluminum 24" iMac (3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM) and a Black Macbook (2.4 GHz Intel, 4GB RAM) and I naively thought Microsoft Office 2008 for the Mac would be "equivalent" to the Windows/PC version and was I ever so surprised. Being a Windows-based MS Office user for decades, I thought that the Mac version would closely mirror the Windows edition. Hmmm...not so much. The basic functionality of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Entourage (a PIM which I don't use) is there, but this version does not seem as full-featured or as stable as the Windows version. It's a mild adjustment - the ribbon from Office 2007 is not there and most commands are located in drop down menus - which is not the sleekest method, but functional nonetheless. Another ... My husband & kids were looking forward to getting Spore as a Christmas present. Unfortunately due to the invasive nature of the latest SecuROM we won't be buying. I see no point in being required to connect to the internet to play a computer game that isn't played online, besides the kids gaming computer is not connected to the internet.
I'm not at all happy that EA continues to force this DRM on us when according to articles, it hasn't done much to stop the software pirates. All it does is punish the paying customer. So I'll find my family a game that isn't so draconian with it's copyright protection software. The same goes for Sims 3. I've been a long time Sims fan, but if it has this garbage on it I'm not touching it. >>More Details |

I don't know if I wasn't paying attention, or was just not informed. But this program doesn't work with macs even though it was used on the old apple2GS which is just a super old version of a mac. Don't get this if you have a mac!

If you play the game regularly, sure it's convenient to sign up with the bliz plans. But, why pay the tax bliz charges when you can pay the same rate (or better, if you normally go shorter plans) by getting this from Amazon? Always makes a great gift, and never spoils in the mail.
Plus, with the recent release of the expansion (Wrath of the Lich King), your gamer may need a few of these. >>More Details |

Basically beware. You WILL have to do a complete clean install. Once you do so, many applications that formally worked fine, will no longer. Some will not even work with the new system. Many apps will need to you re-install, others will ask you again for serial numbers and activations. Make sure you have all those numbers handy. Sorry for those who have "borrowed" applications, chances are, you'll never be able to use them again.

With all the commercials on tv for this thing you would figure it was all hoplah. Well, with the perfect interface, the included headphones and the voice and video support, I would consider this the perfect way to learn any language. Optional cds are included so you don't have to be planted in front of your computer the whole time. However, you'll get the most out of this with the picture and video software. Good luck!

If you have a Mac running OS 10.5.4 or 10.5.5 (or above) you should be aware that NONE of the Photoshop Elements software versions--including 6-- is compatible with it. It won't work.

I see lots of complaints on these and other boards. I have used this service since it's inception. Sure there are some bugs and annoyances. But it does the basic job.
I have two desktops, one laptop and an ipod touch all synced with MobileMe. (Though I do hate that name.) Any change on any one device automatically gets sent to all other devices. >>More Details |
