I like this Ubuntu build. It seemed to suit me well, and since I didn't know anyone with a copy, use a limited Internet speed PC, and wanted to receive the DVD free second day, I chose to purchase free Ubuntu 8.04 on Amazon.com. If you find yourself in a similar situation, avoid getting bogged down with the philosophical aspects of life and just go for it; Let's not get weird about it. With a price tag showing under [...] bucks for open-source use on an unlimited number of systems, please do not let anyone insult your intelligence by comparing the sale of this product on Amazon to a company that shamelessly sells single-workstation operating system software at prices in excess of $[...]. I have been on a lifelong search through comic stores across the country for Star Trek comic books. Never to purchase, as that would burn a decent hole into my already empty pocket, but simply to glance through the pages and read the stories in a manner so much more different than what I was used to. Comics are fun to read, and they offer a unique vision of a story and its characters. Imagine my surprise when I learned there was a compilation DVD in the works for the Star Trek comic series!

This software is at my daughter's daycare and she loves this it. It provides a great deal of tools for children to create beautiful pictures and is reasonably priced. It does advertise that it works for Windows, Mac and Linux. This is untrue and only supports Windows. However, I was able to run it under Linux using WINE[...]

This game is educational and fun. We have a 6yr old boy who loves this. He is learning to put the case together to find Carmen. It, however, does not work on our Windows XP but does work on our MacBook.

It is great set of ubuntu and kubuntu and the library is top notch. I was ubuntu user but since last release, thanks to this set I decided to try kubuntu and liked it. I use ubuntu/kubuntu for two years and those are by far my most loved Linux distros. It is very convenient having it delivered. The shipment from DVDxDVD is super quick (I mean it is unbelievable how fast they do!) and their customer service is superb. I bought from them different releases for many times and they really take care. I pre-ordered this one. This set comes with complete training library for all levels of users! I'm greatly impressed with the library. It saves tons of money as allows go deep into Linux on practically any subject. Here's smooth installation and hour of fun! Awesome! ... Read More:

This game has a great design and excellent graphics. Unfortunately that's where the good stuff ends. It's very very simple and not challenging at all. I bought it for my 7 and 4 year old, hoping that they could both play it on different levels, but they were bored with it pretty quickly. They both went through it twice on the most difficult level (there are only three) and after that they didn't want to play it at all. The game doesn't go above single digits for additions and I haven't seen anything that use subtraction. Logic problem are very trivial too even for 4 year old.
It's not a complete waste of money considering that it's not too expansive, but pretty close to it. >>More Details |

I added this product to my list of the best games of preschoolers quite a few years ago. I was browsing through all the games available for linux and was pleasantly surprised to see this game listed. I'm so glad to see more mainstream game publishers taking the time and energy to include linux when they are developing games!
