This is an awesome product. It is easily backward compatible with previous versions of Office. It is much more user friendly and much easier to personalize buttons and toolbars to how one person uses word. I highly recommend it.

I was running Parallels and through it Office 2007 for the PC. That worked fine, but the start up time was too long, and the apps were occasionally flaky. I finally broke down and bought Office 2008. I'm happy now - it starts up quickly and opens up my PC files just file.
I just can't figure out why they didn't just implement the very well thought-out ribbon bars from Office 2007. I do like that it has the notebook view (why doesn't Microsoft take it's best ideas and use them for EVERY version of MS Office?).

Quickbooks 2009 still fails miserably when it comes to interoperability with past versions. Also, the multiple ways to save, share, or backup a file are a throwback to software ala 1990. A related issue is that these files are probably much larger than they need to be. Furthermore, the software is always trying to impose Web access on the user, often for marketing purposes. Moreover, I tried the online banking feature, but my bank apparently was not ready for 2009. In my opinion, this product still does not meet modern standards for software quality. I wish there was a widely-used alternative.

I had quit using Norton for the last few of years. I needed a new Internet Security Suite and Norton 2009 was rated at or near the top of all the ratings I checked. Norton did especially well with independent lab tests. (There are so many companies trying to look independent, so it takes some effort to find truly independent tests.)
Norton found a "Trojan" my old Suite did Not find (Kaspersky). It also Scans much faster.

Count me as a thrilled ex-Corel (Paintshop Pro X2) user. After Corel decided to charge their loyal customers $50 for RAW file support updates I moved on.
I can't compare PE7 against PE6 and probably don't need to. Lots of users seem to be doing that already. I can compare against Paintshop Pro X2 though. You'll often hear Corel PSPX2 users take pride in their ability to get things done quickly without having to worry about Adobe's complicated workflow. "Let them have their Photoshop, we're getting real work done" is common. The other believe that has been held is that the Elements brand is for novices only, because Adobe won't ever add the truly powerful features from PS. I think PE7 destroys both these arguments, to be honest.
This is a very good mapping program. It is easy to install and register. Making a trip plan is very easy and there are a lot of options for length of day, speed, and extra stops. If anything could be improved, more hotel brands and restaurants could be included. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a better than average mapping solution.

I have owned my Garmin gps for over two years and have loved it. In addition, I use my gps both personally and professionally in home repair. One of the main reasons that I bought this update was that I couldn't find addresses in the newer subdivisions which are 2-5 years old. The update didn't improve that issue at all and for the first time the gps gave me wrong directions (told me to turn down a one way street in a old established neighborhood). To be quite honest, I haven't seen any benefit to buying the update, as a result I am very disappointed.

Leopard still has a number of bugs which can be limiting in its use compared to the very stable and bug free 10.4. Wish I had waited. So frustrating to go from trouble free to a number of issues which limit my computer use and are difficult if not possible at this time to resolve with Apple.

I bought KIS 2009 due to some of the reviews stating that it doesn't slow your system down as much as other security suites. That is very true, when it is running.
Since installing KIS 2009 I've been getting 2 to 5 "Blue Screens of Death" BSOD's a day. I've opened tickets with support, gone to Kasperski's forum and so far no luck and definitely no solution.
You can do searches and find out that this is not an isolatedissue with me.
If you are not a geek with a LOT of time on your hands I'd reccomend going with someone else until Kaspersky gets this issue resolved. I think they will get it fixed and then they will have good product. But right now it isn't ready for primetime.
