I had quit using Norton for the last few of years. I needed a new Internet Security Suite and Norton 2009 was rated at or near the top of all the ratings I checked. Norton did especially well with independent lab tests. (There are so many companies trying to look independent, so it takes some effort to find truly independent tests.)
Norton found a "Trojan" my old Suite did Not find (Kaspersky). It also Scans much faster.

The product fails to install on Vista Business 64-bit (with 8 GB memory installed). The DEP (data execution prevention) trap handler aborted the installation.
I guess I'll need to find another anti-virus solution.
While I did not expect much with McAfee Internet Security 2009 it did, at least, meet my expectations. As someone that works in the computing industry I know how the consumer level anti-virus packages can be below par and really cause headaches for the end user. Corporate level packages are much better, but I will get off topic here...
McAfee Internet Security 2009 was decently quick during the installation and updating phases. It followed the usual steps of uninstalling older software packages and did it with ease, but I'm sure it was just luck in my case. After the install and updating, I found the menus to be fairly easy to navigate. However, I personally feel that most anti-virus/internet security packages (McAfee included) offer too ... Read More:

This software was easy to install, but it did not work well on our Vista Windows. We had enough memory and large hard drive with enough free space. But our computer kept freezing and locking up and the performance was very poor after installing this product. When we decided to uninstall it after only a week, using the uninstall tool, it took a vital Windows OS file and made our OS crash and we had to start over from the beginning and reformat our hard drive and reload all our software. I do not recommend this software at all.

I am a Frontpage webmaster & was looking for a similiar program that did not need extensions to run it & after much review I bot WebPlus X2 for Amazon's discounted price of $69. which I thot was good - however after I examined the program I found no direct IMAGE folder for each site. I did register & talked to them on the phone: here is what I found out - 1st I could have called them for a discounted price lower than what I just paid & 2nd I need to buy their Photo Program to go w/it (even tho I have a full Pshop prog - the 2 prog work tog.) & I could have all the editing & ALBUM files I wanted. If you are familiar w/Ftpg - you will still have a learning curve. Serif who ownes this software has other perks not mentioned which are worth the time to ... Read More:

I've been using the Dreamweaver CS4 beta for almost 5 months now and find that it fits my work style very nicely. There are some obvious changes like that it now looks more like Adobe's other programs. It's not so much the similarity of looks in the interface that helps as that the working panes and panels have been integrated into a working whole on the Mac in the same way as Windows. It works. However the workspace is pretty customizable and as you can still save your workspace. I can imagine that experienced developers will end up having some pretty individualized views. I originally thought that it might take some time to learn the new workspace but it's so logically designed that it seems natural.
I love Symantec's Norton Internet Security! I've been using this to protect my computer since 2002, and haven't had any problems. As soon as I installed this 2008 version, Symantec sent me a message letting me know a free upgrade was available to the 2009 version! Plus, I received this item earlier than expected. I couldn't be any happier! Thanks!
