I bought this for my grandchildren. They are 8 years old and younger. I showed them the basics and they continued on without constant supervision. They find it entertaining and challenging. The game is well worth the price.

The one item that separates the survival edition from the collector's edition is the pipboy clock and unfortunately, this clock is a miserable piece of junk. It is built of a substandard molded green plastic, it looks cheap and it feels cheap. Dollar store type cheap. It is very prone to breaking under even the most modest levels of use. It has no features, not even an alarm function. The are only two things that can be done with it. Set the time and display the time. It does also come with problems. For many users at least one of the buttons used for setting the time does not work. My child is having issues with phonics. We ordered this game in the hopes to give him a love for language and phonics. It worked. He is performing better on his phonics and language tests-he is now passing them. He enjoys reading, and he is actually writing stories. This has been a good purchase and the former reviews are correct.

I bought this enhancement after installing Leopard on my Mac. (Beyond the Sword is not available for Mac). It has great new features, that bring further layers of complexity into the game, like Espionage, Corporations, and the diplomatic use of the Apostolic Palace.
If you have played Civilization IV before, I certainly recommend buying this add-on. If you haven't, you will probably want to wait until you have an understanding of how the game works: the plain vanilla version of the game is complicated and addicting enough by itself. >>More Details |

Bought this with the sole intention of cloning a failing hard drive with a larger one. Figured this would save me hours of work installing and transferring programs. Well, I installed it with no problems and ran the Clone program. It did everything it was supposed to do in the order shown in the instructions. The program is slightly lacking in instructional material but workable. When it was done, nothing had been written to the new drive. Tried several more variations, still with no joy. Now I end up spending hours/days researching and reading FAQ's and reviews to find any answers to my questions. After many hours of reading reviews I finally found a ray of hope and tried again. - Sensitive - Custom weights - Custom LED colors - Extra grips Cons - Middle-mouse clicking (pressing down, not scrolling) is INCREDIBLY stiff. Difficult to open/close browser tabs, or fly-scroll on webpages, etc. - Mouse is too heavy for precision gaming to begin with. Using the weights would make it worse. - Labeled as a 9-button mouse, which is ridiculous and highly disappointing. 1: You can't use the 2 buttons on the bottom of the mouse. 2: Wheel-tilting shouldn't be considered 2 extra buttons. 3: The 2 sensitivity-adjustment buttons can't realistically be used for anything else. Installed the program and first run got a pop-up telling me that my machine was using large fonts and that items wouldn't display properly unless I changed to small fonts and rebooted my machine. I have a vision problem and have to use large fonts. Unfortunately, I had to send the program back.
