Put it in the CD drive. Nothing happened. Clicked CD drive - nothing, like its not even there.
Pulled it out and checked for scratches. There are none. Fresh out of box. Tried different CD. Worked fine. Put back in GoW CD. Again, nothing. Like it don't even exist.
Tried about 100 CD's before this. All worked perfectly. Number 101 - failed - didn't work at all.
Went to Microsoft's website - looked for phone number. None existed for technical support. Looked for e-mail address. Didn't find it. Kept looking. 15 minutes later - staring at some kind of legal agreement. Says I might have to pay up to 35 dollars for technical support. Clicked I disagree. Recieved no technical support at all.
Civ IV is another great Civ game from the mind of one of greatest game designers of all time. Civ IV presents the Civilization game with such polish and solid gameplay that it will be very interesting to see where Sid Meier's takes the franchise from here.
The graphics aren't the greatest but that's not why you play a Civ game. The mechanics are where this game truly shines. You can conquer by force or by diplomacy and you can be hands-off or you can micro-manage almost every aspect of your cities and territories. The choice is yours.
The scenarios and maps will provide hours upon hours of strategy fun and you will find yourself saying "just one more turn" at 3 a.m. before you know it.
If you like strategy games and you do not own ... Read More:

I bought this product initially with hesitation because of all of the problems people seemed to have with it. The key to installation is to not use the drivers on the CD it comes with. Also go to the forums that tell you how to delete certain registry entries that give you a clean slate on your yoke and button assignments. After clearing your assignments on FS9 and/or FSX like I have, you go in and set the assignments anew for your yoke and throttle assembly. Then you won't get the gear down and view change anomalies. I use the CH pedals without any problems along with the Saitek stuff. When those quit working though I will switch to the the Saitek pedals. This product is heavy duty and real looking compared to the CH yoke that I used for 3 years. The metal ... Read More:

Warcraft 3 is the best. I've been playing it forever and I lost my copy, so I bought the Battle Chest instead. I didn't realize it came with a players guide, so that was cool. DOTA RULEZ

I consider myself pretty techie but this software is hard to use. I see a recipe I'd like to add to my menu plan and I have to go out of the cookbook and back into the menu plan and add it. I'm not expecting drag and drop (although how cool would that be?) but tedious to build a plan. Then menu plan vs. meal plan and confusing term swaps. It also wants to add ingredients in it's own way--making me tab through to add things the way I want (cheese in ounces vs. slices). Maybe I didn't study it enough but I've just been very challenged in using it so far. I'm sticking with my pencil and paper and xerox copies of recipes I like!

Graphics were out of date when the game was released. It is more like 1980 game graphics, instead of anything even closely resembling 1990 quality graphics. And that is where I have an issue with the game and the series. Your basically using "stick figure" characters, who resemble just what I said = stick figures. They do not even resemble characters. The Ultima PC games that came out in the 1980s had better looking characters then this game does for a game released in 1998 or 1999.
I don't mind playing a 1990 to 1998 role playing game, and having worst graphics. Since for a RPG, you don't focus on graphics. But I do mind playing a 1980s graphics game, and that is what you are buying when you buy Baldur's Gate. And worst yet, its not even ... Read More:
