I was hesitant to get this stuff pack due to the disappointment that I've experienced with some of the other expansion and stuff packs, but since I love to build and have been a Sims fan since the first version, I gave it chance. I must say that EA has improved from the last few released Sims 2 items (It seems their quality control department might actually be doing their job). I am very pleased with this pack and would recommend it.

If you have a Mac running OS 10.5.4 or 10.5.5 (or above) you should be aware that NONE of the Photoshop Elements software versions--including 6-- is compatible with it. It won't work.

I used photo editing software before, mainly free ware like "gimp" or software that comes with your digital camera. I'm not a power user, I still have to learn how to work with "layers" but so far I've found the basic options, layout and editing tools to be easy to use.
I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium Service pack 1. Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz with 3.00 GB of Ram, video chip accelerator and 90 GB free space. For other users running vista; my pc has a rating of 3.4 I read other reviewers said the system does run a bit slow during certain operations, the only time I noticed the software to run a bit slow (average 2 seconds) seconds is when I'm making overall changes, changes such as changing the color of the picture to black ... I see lots of complaints on these and other boards. I have used this service since it's inception. Sure there are some bugs and annoyances. But it does the basic job.
I have two desktops, one laptop and an ipod touch all synced with MobileMe. (Though I do hate that name.) Any change on any one device automatically gets sent to all other devices. >>More Details |

When Mac introduced Intel chips they opened the door to finally be able to run PC software on the Mac. I rushed out and bought Parallels. When Parallels was the only game in town it was great. Sure Parallels crashed sometimes, and would often lose its internet connection. But it was great to be able to run PC's.
Now you have an established visualization leader, VMWare in the game. I've rarely seen VMWare crash or drop its internet connection. You're still not going to run 3d windows games at full power/extreme performance. But for everything short of video games, this product does quite well. Just to let people know... all the comments on this version that are 1 star are about DRM and not the game. I wish Amazon would take those off... it is really not a reflection of the actual game and should be left to a software pirating forum and not here.
I'll get right down to it... Positives... -Huge world. -Great story. -Awesome side quests. -Openness of gameplay. Negatives... -Oblivion w/ guns (same engine, and only negative if you didn't like Oblivion). -My character is an ice skater (see above). -Can't really play the game without a good sneak ability or a lot of stimpacks (only a couple of good skill combinations seem to be able to pass the game without too much trouble while all others will get ... Last year I bought Dragon Naturally Speaking 9 Preferred for my son. He had no trouble installing it, did mention that the program was "scary smart," and now says it makes his job easier and he uses it constantly. For many months I have been toying with the idea of getting one for myself as it is getting difficult for me to type because of pain in my hands; however, I have been using computers for about 20 years now so am very familiar with the ups and downs of software support - who provides it and how good it is.
