I like it more than the original Sims game. It's fun to play and there are a lot more items and design options when you're making and decorating houses. There are also a lot more options when you make a Sim -- there's a lot of control over facial features, in particular.

I am a fan of the original Sacred who waited anxiously for Sacred 2 for years. I almost clicked the "add to cart" button when I noticed the Securom note and followed up about the DRM scheme. Must say I am extremely sad to miss what would have been a great game but I refuse to spend $50 (or even $5) on a product that can mess with my OS (Vista) and treats me like a thief. I hope this note alerts others to check out the issue and decide (against) as well. Right now I am going to spend my entertainment dollars ($50) with a publisher that shows some customer respect.

what kind of a company rewards loyal users by putting up a roadblock to productivity? this is the worst software 'upgrade' i have ever seen, and I've been using software for the past 20 years. yes, there are additional useful features. yes, there are fixes to previous limitations. but no, they did not have to be implemented with a completely new UI. The office ribbon is like GM taking the steering wheel and putting it on the other side of the car, and calling that a better car, though indeed, the new car has a better engine. WTF? why would anyone approve this without at least having an option, add-in, or whatever work around to go back to the classic menus? unfortunately this is a business school case worthy example of how not to treat your customers.

wow I have only had this product for a day and a half. And I am very very impressed with it. The installation of the product(dragon) only took about 10 minutes to install. The voice recognition took about another 10 to fully understand my voice patterns. Actually it started understanding my voice within the first 1 to 2 seconds. I already sent out a ton of e-mails to friends and family. Telling them about this product. All of them are super impressed that for the most part I never even have to touch the keyboard. Most of them have seen my previous e-mails and no that I'm not the greatest typer in the world and misspell words quite a bit. They are impressed of how accurate this software is. For a person like me with a reading disability. This product I would have ... Read More:

I've been doing genealogy on and off for years, and haven't used FTM for a while. I've been rebuilding my family history [...] and decided it was time to get desktop software, and decided to get FTM 2009 because I figured it would make things easier to switch back and forth. Now, I've been using computers since I was a child, and am quite comfortable with them, but I am having a terrible time navigating around this software. It does not recognize sources that I linked to people in Ancestry, and keeps giving me hints for these sources. I am having to go in, person by person, and ignore all these hints so I don't have the little leaf on every single person. The help files have not been useful, and the email I sent has yet to be answered. I am having problems with merging information ... Read More:

I have played this game for around two years and have multiple level 70 characters and thoroughly enjoy it. However the game is broken (as of october 2008) and unplayable at the moment due to horrendous lag issues and server shut downs. Check out the forums for more information, well no information really, but you'll see the scale of the problem:
My advice is avoid this game and the new expansion pack Wrath of the Lich King like the plague until the game becomes playable again. Just thought I'd save you some dollars and whole bunch of frustration.

There's nothing super-dee-duper about this (hence kept to a 4-star rating), but it works great. No complaints for such a good price. I actually got a chance to try my buddy's throne after I got mine, and his was a bit more expensive, and I thought that his throne's butt-pad wasn't as comfortable as mine.

This expansion pack is pretty good. I almost didn't get it but am glad I did. The only downside is the game kinda implies there are holidays but there aren't. Definately a good buy.

This is a pay to play game. You have to start paying as soon as you get online. What a genius buisness model. You start by giving them your credit card and like a taxi the minutes buzz by on a meter. You are about $30 in before you get past level one. I think you should just burn dollar bills instead. I would rather pay $60 1 x for a new game then 100's for some subscription.
